Spring is the season for change and what better way is there to give yourself a fresh start than by taking advantage of Habitat-HMD’s kitchen salvage program? Our highly-skilled team will handle the removal of your old kitchen to allow you to welcome the new one, entirely free of cost (yes, you read that right).
How it works
Our kitchen removal experts will take away anything in your kitchen you’re ready to part with. Not only are our kitchen salvage services free, you’ll also receive a charitable tax receipt for the donation of your items.
Kitchen pickup covers any items already disassembled that are ready for collection by our donation pickup team. We offer in-home pickup, so you don’t have to worry about the heavy lifting.
Items we accept:
- Kitchen cabinets (upper, lower or islands)
- Appliances (fridge, stove, dishwashers, etc.)
We accept donations of almost all parts of the kitchen. For a comprehensive list of items we accept, click here. If you don’t see what you need listed here, give us a call at 905-637-4446 ext. 427.
Choosing Habitat HMD for your kitchen salvage guarantees you’ll save money, avoid hassle, help the environment and support the construction of affordable housing in your community.
Save on demolition costs and get money back
The cost of hiring a professional to demolish your kitchen can start from $500 and can cost well over $2,000. Conversely, Habitat’s kitchen salvage services are entirely free. From removal, to moving it out of your home and taking it away, we’ve got you covered every step of the way.
If saving hundreds of dollars isn’t enough of a selling point for you, we also offer charitable tax receipts for all donations, equal to the value of the items you donated. Your generosity is worth more to us than a “thank you.” Let us help you not only save money, but also see some of it back.
Save on the hassle of a kitchen demolition
Kitchen demolitions can be lengthy projects requiring multiple professionals to remove different elements within your kitchen. Our kitchen removal experts have the knowledge to do it all, streamlining the experience for you and eliminating the hassle.
Our friendly and efficient team of qualified volunteers will have the job done within 2-3 hours for an average kitchen salvage. We’ll take care of your outdated kitchen as quickly as we can, so you can get started on remodelling the space of your dreams.
Save the environment
In 2016, Ontario saw over three tonnes of waste sent to the landfill, by residents alone. Much of this “trash” includes items that could have been reused rather than thrown away. Habitat’s kitchen salvage is working to tackle this concern.
Generally, kitchen demolitions see most items ending up in the landfill. But when Habitat handles your kitchen salvage, we bring all useable items to our ReStore, where your donations will find new homes with people in our community. While the piece might not work for your home anymore, it might be the perfect fit for someone else.
How your kitchen salvage helps make a difference
When your donated items to the ReStore are sold, that revenue is used to support our build fund. By choosing us over another demolition service, you’re helping to build affordable housing right here in your community. Making a difference has never been such an easy choice.
