The Store That Builds Homes
A Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a warehouse that accepts donations of overstocked, used, discontinued items and salvageable building materials donated from manufacturers, other stores, local contractors and the public. Items that are donated include new and gently used furniture, building materials, appliances, cabinetry, sinks, countertops, household and décor items, lighting and much more. The ReStore then sells those donated items to the public at a reduced cost, typically 30-70% percent less than the original retail value. Shopping at a Habitat ReStore is a socially conscious decision as funds generated are used to build Habitat homes for local families in need. Charities, like any other organization, incur administrative fees. The ReStore profits help to cover these costs. As a result, the money raised by the affiliate through conventional means - such as through individual and corporate giving - go directly towards local builds and provide more families in the community with safe, decent and affordable housing. The ReStore is also a great way to go green. Most of the customer returns, end-of-stock and gently used items we take in as donations and re-sell would otherwise end up in a landfill.

Donations to the ReStore that are valued over $100 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. Whether you choose to drop your donation off at one of our three locations or you schedule a donation pickup from the comfort of your home, make sure you indicate that you would like to receive a tax receipt for your donation and a we'll email it to you.
