Step 1: Expression of Interest
During the active recruitment phase, interested families will be able to fill out our online Eligibility Questionnaire.
Please note:
- You will receive an acknowledgement email within 2-3 business days of submission. Only those who meet the eligibility criteria for a specific project will be invited to the application phase.
- You must ensure that you have filled out the eligibility questionnaire correctly and completely.
- This is an online application, please contact [email protected] if you require an alternate submission format.
Step 2: Application Process
- Qualified families will be provided with an application form. Application forms will only ever be given out by the Housing Support department.
- Application forms and supporting documentation should be submitted to the Habitat for Humanity Burlington office via email, mail or in person.
- You will receive an acknowledgement email within 2-3 business days of submission being received.
Step 3: Review Process
- Only complete applications will be considered.
- The review process will include interviews, home visits, reference checks, credit checks, etc.
- Every application will be reviewed fairly and equally.
- All applicants will be notified in writing of the decision.
- Unsuccessful applications will be kept on file for a 3-month period after the decision is made and the file will then be closed.
