At Habitat for Humanity’s ReVive Team Centre, corporate and community groups, as well as other group volunteers, have the opportunity to participate in a team building activity like no other; by assisting in bringing life back into products or excess wood pieces that could use a second chance. Not only are old donations ‘revived’ and upcycled, but our volunteers also have the chance to get creative and produce new and unique items using locally sourced materials. Items and materials are reused and repurposed to then be sold by Habitat, where 100% of the proceeds are used to support Habitat’s mission to build safe and affordable housing for families in need.
Giving employees the opportunity to take part in corporate social responsibility can not only boost employee morale, but also encourages employees to use corporate resources to make a positive impact. Group volunteering at the ReVive Team Centre is a great way to enhance employee engagement, while working on a cause that matters, and team building in a way that truly brings employees together.
Why choose to be a socially responsible company? Corporate social responsibility motivates and brings together employees looking to make positive contributions. Through group volunteering in programs that create positive change, employees are given the chance to use their skill set in a creative and inspiring way.
Whether you are a novice or a tool expert, ReVive is a great place to flex those creative muscles. Paired with an experienced crew leader, volunteers of all skill levels are encouraged to join and learn new skills or hone/sharpen their existing skill set.
Teams of ten donate $5000 towards Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga-Dufferin’s (Habitat HMD) current build programs and in turn enjoy a full day of team building in ReVive alongside our crew. The facility includes a fully equipped tool workshop and DIY zone. Habitat HMD provides all tools, materials, personal protective gear, training and supervision throughout the day. Each team enjoys a complimentary lunch as well as a digital photo album on Habitat HMD’s Facebook to shout out their contribution to ReVive and our organization. For participating in our ReVive team workshop, a charitable tax receipt will be provided. Each team that works with us can expect an action-packed day and a one-of-a-kind experience.
