Why choose a Build Day with Habitat for Humanity?
When your team books your team build experience, you are making a decision that will have an enormously positive impact on both your organization and Habitat for Humanity’s mission. Team building means you get the opportunity to work with your colleagues outside of your typical work environment. Your typical job roles and workplace structure melt away when you’re out on a Habitat build site or in the ReVive Centre — you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside people who you wouldn’t always have the opportunity to collaborate with.
Through participating in a build day with Habitat, your employees will learn new construction and creative skills. They’ll also improve their skills in communication, collaboration, problem-solving and leadership. These are all takeaways that employees will bring back to their work, even if they’re not aware that they’re using what they learned on a Habitat build day. Plus, team building experiences are a fun way to spend some time out of the office and bond with co-workers!
Habitat team building experiences don’t just benefit your organization — our corporate teams are huge supporters of our important mission. Your contributions, both financial and through your work on a build site, in the ReVive Centre or in the ReStore, help us to keep doing what we do best; working toward a world where everyone has a safe, decent and affordable place to call home. Habitat offers a way to give back to your local community. You can feel good about your decision to join a build day with Habitat, because it will have a ripple effect on your community.
