Why shop lights?
An easy way to upgrade
If you’re feeling bored with your home décor or the energy in a room, an easy yet underrated way to switch things up is to bring in new lighting. This might even be the most simple way to re-energize a room, yet because it’s so obvious, it’s often overlooked.
Whether your outdated lamps have seen better days, or your grandmother’s antique chandelier is making your space feel more like a museum than a home, swap out your old lights for something new or like-new from our ReStores. It’s a great way to freshen things up without having to shell out hundreds of dollars.
While it might seem like a subtle change, bringing in new lights can change the entire mood of a room. It’s less time-consuming than repainting and can make just as much of a statement.
If your old vanity lights make you look more washed out than Casper, switch it up for a warmer tone that will give you a sun-kissed glow. If your living room is looking drab, the fix from dreary to inviting could be as simple as adding a few floor lamps or ceiling lights.
How your ReStore purchase ignites hope
While it might not seem like your purchase of lights from our ReStore makes an impact, we’re here to tell you it does. We like to think of it using the “drop in the bucket” analogy.
You might view your purchase as a single raindrop into a bucket – not likely to go very far. At Habitat HM, we see first-hand the impact each raindrop has. When many people are purchasing from our ReStores, the raindrops fill our bucket, inch by inch, until we’ve filled it to the brim.
How does your purchase translate into impact?
Now that we have all this support from our local community through ReStore purchases, what do we do with it? Every dollar from sales through our ReStore goes to cover costs of our not-for-profit administration.
Because we have these administration costs taken care of, Habitat can do what it does best: build.
In case you don’t already know, Habitat’s mission is quite straightforward: build as much affordable housing within our community as we can, to give hardworking and deserving local families a hand-up.
When your ReStore purchases contribute to our administration fees, we can stretch every donated dollar to accomplish more. Habitat HM is currently working on three build projects. By supporting us through shopping in our ReStores, you’re enabling this work to continue.
Your purchase of lights through ReStore is not a drop in the bucket. Your purchase ignites hope for local families.
Opt to shop ReStore
You shouldn’t think twice about shopping at a for-profit company vs. in our ReStores. With Habitat, your purchase will have impact. Feel good not only about your new purchase, but about your decision of where to shop.
We’ll even deliver
If you have your eye on an oversized hanging ceiling light but have doubts about your car’s capacity to fit this sizeable structure, Habitat’s here to help you out.
